Western Design Conference

Exhibit + Sale

The Exhibit + Sale will be open to the public Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 7th-9th, 2012 from 10 am - 5 pm.

The artists who are selected by a jury of design experts are rigorously challenged to create their best work as they compete for limited invitations to showcase their pieces at the Western Design Conference. These talented artists bring a quality and interpretation to western design that is sought after by collectors and designers worldwide. Creative, original and innovative work cannot be produced in volume. This Exhibit + Sale celebrates those who have chosen to forgo mass production in order to create one of a kind, museum quality functional art pieces that bring the spirit of the West into the mainstream marketplace. Because the Western Design Conference is widely recognized as the nation’s premiere Exhibit + Sale of western design it consistently attracts the most talented artists working with wood, metal, leather and textiles.

The Exhibit + Sale will be held at the Pavilion at Snow King Resort in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The Exhibit + Sale will showcase contemporary crafts, highlighting artistic traditions including Western, Adirondack, Rustic, Lodge, Asian, Southwestern, Hispanic, Native American and Modern influences. All products juried into the show will be displayed in a gallery setting on pedestals. All products must be handmade in the United States or Canada. No mass produced or imported items will be eligible for this juried show.

Galleries, Showrooms, Interior Designers, Architects, Fashion Designers and Retailers are able to purchase booth space to show their products at the Exhibit + Sale. Businesses that purchase booth space will not be part of the juried exhibit, do not have to show their product on pedestals and works sold will not be eligible for any awards or cash prizes.
